Puffin would love to spend the leftover credit balance that isn't given to schools on himself, but we've managed to persuade him to donate his nest egg to Puffin Book Club's nominated charity.
There are many schools and charities that would benefit from free books for their libraries or classrooms, so please, if you aren't using your credit to support your local school, donate it to Puffin's Nest Egg, and pass your love of reading on. Our current Puffin Nest Egg charity is Room to Read - a charity dedicated to promoting and enabling global education. Since it was founded in 2000 the organisation has helped over 3 million children to receive a higher quality education, by raising money for excellent projects such as the creation of Constructed Reading Rooms.
These stand-alone libraries provide learning materials for children, that are lacking in many poor government schools across the world. Helping schools in developing countries, Room to Read provides books, furniture, games, puzzles, posters, librarians and three years of support from the charity. With your help the Puffin Book Club Nest Egg hopes to fund a similar project with Room to Read.

Puffin Nest Egg Update!
We've got some exciting news! Thanks to all your kind donations to the Puffin Nest Egg we've already raised a massive £3,494 to go towards our £12,000 target. Remember that for each book you buy you can choose to donate half of the total spend to your school or to our Nest Egg. So the more brilliant books you buy, the more money you raise!
We've still got some way to go until we reach our target but with your generosity we'll soon be well on our way to achieving our target!
